The SegmentOS audience panel is a managed, paid way to buy verified survey responses with demographic targeting. You define who you want to reach, we review your order, and responses are fielded automatically.

What it is

Instead of recruiting respondents yourself, you purchase completes from a vetted respondent panel (powered by PureSpectrum). You set targeting criteria and a sample size, SegmentOS estimates feasibility and cost, and after our team reviews and approves your order, the survey goes live and collects responses on its own. You are only charged once the survey is approved and goes live.

When to use it

  • You need representative, demographically targeted responses fast.
  • You do not have your own list of respondents to share the survey with.
  • You want verified respondents rather than open public traffic.

If you already have an audience to share with, use Distributing your survey instead.

How to place an audience order

  1. Start a new survey and on the "How would you like to collect responses to your survey?" screen, choose Buy survey responses from our audience, then click Next.
  2. Build your survey questions as usual in the builder.
  3. Open the Audience step. Under Targeting Criteria, choose your Country first — pricing and the reachable panel size are shown per country.
  4. Refine your audience with the targeting sections that appear: Geographic (regions), Age, Gender, Income Level, Employment Status, plus any extended demographics (such as education or marital status) and B2B Targeting your selected country supports.
  5. Optionally open Custom Qualifications to map your own single-choice or yes/no screener questions to targeting, so only respondents whose answers qualify are included.
  6. Open Survey Details to review the auto-detected number of questions, the estimated Length of Interview (LOI) (adjustable within plus or minus 15% of the estimate), and the Field Period (days) (standard is 3 days).
  7. In the right-hand panel, set the number of Completes you want. Watch the Feasibility meter and the reachable respondents count to make sure your targeting is achievable.
  8. Review the Pricing breakdown — base rate per response plus any targeting add-ons — the cost per response, and the Total estimate. Apply a Promo code if you have one.
  9. Enter your card under Payment Method. Your card is saved securely via Stripe and is only charged after your order is approved.
  10. Click Submit Order for Review.

What happens after you submit

Your order moves through a status flow you can follow on the order page:

  • Order Submitted — Awaiting Review (pending review): we have received your order, typically reviewed within 1–2 business days.
  • Under Review: our team is reviewing and setting up your panel.
  • Order Accepted — Setup in Progress (approved): your card is charged once the survey goes live.
  • Survey Live: responses are actively collected; click View Results to monitor them.
  • Complete: your purchased responses have been collected.

If changes are needed, the order shows Order Needs Revision with team notes — use Edit Audience & Resubmit or Edit Survey Questions to fix and resubmit. While an order is still awaiting approval and unpaid, you can Cancel Order without being charged.

Tips & best practices

  • Choose your country before anything else; it drives both price and the available targeting options.
  • Tighter targeting (B2B, custom qualifications, narrow demographics) reduces the reachable audience and raises cost — keep the Feasibility meter in the green where possible.
  • B2B targeting applies a multiplier on the base rate and significantly shrinks the panel, so use it only when you truly need professional audiences.
  • Keep your survey concise; LOI and question count both affect the per-response price.
  • Test your survey before submitting so respondents do not hit broken logic during fielding.

Plan availability

The audience panel is Pro only. Free and Premium users will see the option locked with an upgrade prompt; upgrade to Pro to buy responses. Building and self-distributing your own surveys does not require Pro.
