Your SegmentOS subscription is managed from the Billing & Plan area and billed securely through Stripe. This article covers upgrading, canceling, and what changes when your plan does.
What it covers
You can move between plans at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; cancellations keep your plan active until the end of the current billing period. Payments and renewals are handled by Stripe.
How to upgrade your plan
- Open Settings and select the Billing & Plan tab.
- Find the plan you want and click Upgrade to Premium or Upgrade to Pro.
- Complete checkout in the Stripe window. You are returned to SegmentOS with a "Subscription activated" confirmation.
- Your new features unlock right away, and the Free usage limits no longer apply.
How to cancel your subscription
- Open Settings and select the Billing & Plan tab.
- On your current paid plan card, click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm with Yes, Cancel in the dialog.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period — the card shows "Active until" that date — and you won't be charged again.
What happens to your data and limits
- When you upgrade: the Free limits (5 surveys lifetime, 500 responses/month) are removed and paid features unlock immediately. Your existing surveys and responses are untouched.
- When you cancel: you keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, your account returns to Free.
- On Free again: your surveys and collected responses remain, but paid-only features (such as AI analysis, shareable reports, full segmentation, and CSV/XLSX export) become locked, and the Free limits apply once more.
- Your data is never deleted by a plan change. It is only removed if you delete your account — see Managing your account.
Tips & best practices
- Export anything you need as CSV or XLSX before a paid plan ends if you'll want it in a spreadsheet later.
- Renewal and cancellation dates are shown on your plan banner in Billing & Plan.
- Checkout and plan changes only work from the published app, not inside an embedded preview.
- Payments are processed by Stripe — you can cancel anytime.
