Reading open-ended responses one by one doesn't scale. SegmentOS uses AI to summarize them into themes, a sentiment breakdown, and the most insightful verbatim quotes.

What you get

  • A 2–3 sentence summary and a one-line key insight.
  • Themes with counts, percentages, and example quotes (ranked by frequency).
  • A sentiment split (positive / neutral / negative).
  • The top quotes worth putting in a readout.

How to run it

  1. Open a study's results page and go to the Questions tab.
  2. Find an open-text question and click Analyze with AI — or use Analyze all open-text in the toolbar to do every open-ended question at once.
  3. Themes appear inline under the question. A callout at the top confirms it ran and lets you jump straight to the results.

Per-segment themes

Want to know what one group said? Apply a segment first (see Segmenting your results), then the analysis button becomes Analyze segment open-text. The themes are scoped to that subgroup and labeled with the segment name. Segment analysis is calculated fresh each time and never overwrites your saved full-population analysis.

Requirements & limits

  • Needs at least 3 non-empty responses to a question.
  • Very large sets are sampled to keep analysis fast and cost-effective.
  • Results are saved per question so you don't have to re-run them — use Re-run to refresh after more responses come in.

Plan availability

AI analysis uses processing credits, so it's a Premium and Pro feature. On the free plan the buttons prompt an upgrade.
