Scoring System

SegmentOS includes a flexible scoring system for creating assessments, quizzes, and scored surveys.

Setting Up Scoring

  1. Enable scoring in the Scoring tab of the survey builder.
  2. Assign scores to each answer option.
  3. Configure result bands with custom labels and actions.

Result Bands

Define score ranges with custom behavior:

  • Label — e.g., "Expert", "Intermediate", "Beginner"
  • Score range — Min and max scores for this band
  • Message — Custom message shown to respondents
  • Action — What happens when a respondent falls in this band:
    • None — Show the message only
    • Redirect — Send to a custom URL
    • End Survey — Finish the survey early
    • Disqualify — Mark as disqualified
  • Color — Visual indicator for the band

Respondent Visibility

Optionally show scores to respondents at the end of the survey.

Quotas

Quotas let you cap the number of respondents that match specific criteria.

Types

  • Demographic Quotas — Limit by age, gender, location, etc.
  • Answer-Based Quotas — Limit based on how respondents answer specific questions

Quota Actions

When a quota is full, you can:

  • Terminate — End the survey for that respondent
  • Redirect — Send them to a custom URL

Monitoring

Quota progress is shown in real-time with current count vs. limit.
